a.Make
sure the previous group is out of range before hitting your ball.
b.Track
the shots of everyone in player’s group so time won’t be wasted looking for
them.
c.Be
quiet and still while others are at address, swinging or putting.
d.Do
not stand where player’s shadow may distress a player preparing to swing.
e.Player
should be at ball with club in hand when it’s her turn.
f.Think
ahead – start planning the next shot as you approach your ball.
g.Walk
briskly between shots, when driving cart, drop off first player to hit.Second player drives to her ball, plays
her shot and then picks up first player.
h.If
player can’t drive to the ball take three clubs, the one you think you’ll use
and 1 or 2 more.Avoid walking back
to the cart for a club.
i.Play
safe but with confidence. Don’t take risky shots that could cause delay.
j.Keep
riding carts and pull carts away from greens or aprons.
k.Replace
divots.
l.Rake
bunkers after shot, and place rake inside the edge of the
bunker.
m.Hole-out
(within a clubs length of the hole), don’t mark ball unless player is in another
player’s line.
n.Use
a ball marker that is easily seen, white or bright colors.
o.Never
walk on the part of the green that is between the hole and another player’s
ball.
p.First
player to hole-out should stand beside the flag. When all players have
holed-out, first player picks up and replaces the flagstick.
q.Repair
ball marks on green.
r.After
completing the hole, players should leave the green and wait until they get to
the next tee box to write own score.
s.Don’t
waste time cleaning clubs or replacing head covers after every shot. Hit the
ball and get back in the golf cart.
t.If
a hole continues to be open in front of you, wave group behind you through if
they have been waiting.
u.If
a player has to look for a ball, everyone else should hit their shot. Help find
ball after that. After 5 minutes declare ball lost and hit a new
ball.
